This is a Japanese traditional hanging scroll. It says "Aki-iro (Fall color)". "秋/Aki"
means fall, "色/iro" means color. The painting is Japanese maple. Leaves turn different color like green, red, yellow depending on the season.

This original piece was written by Buddhist priest Taidoh Adachi.
